What is Cyberbullying?
Cyberbullying is any form of harassment, torment, threatening, or any other actions causing embarrassment conducted through email, text messages, social networks like twitter and facebook, the internet or any other digital devices. Some times cyberbullies may not realize that they are doing so and the results can be catastrophic. Children have killed themselves as well as each other as a result of bullying done over the internet. So often cyberbullying is not a one time occurrence but instead is an ongoing harassment of a person from a single person or even dozens.

Saftey and Legal Issues
The general rule for cyberbullying is "you know it when you see it." Schools can legally intervene in cyberbullying cases even if they take place off campus. So a student can get in trouble for acts of cyberbullying conducted at home even if they have no incidences at school. Because cyberbullying is a form of harassment, students can be charged and prosecuted for the offense. But again, suicide and children killing each other can be a direct result of cyberbullyin.
